I looked up Rolf van Os. The car is actually exactly the same as the WTCC regulation cars. Deloaded to about 1100kg, slightly short of 300PS and a sequential. Maybe the rest of those Belgians are just plums:)

I wonder too, many of those cars he’s passing like cones should be a match to a E36 2.0i. The whining you hear is mechanical noises from the sequencial gearbox. The engine is the brumming in the background, changing point at about 6500rpm. My knowledge is from spending time with the WTCC BMW Germany team, mechanics engineer myself.
