And second there are no "issues" with BMW transmissions the way you are insinuating. Perhaps you could make yourself clearer by saying just what issues you know of or heard of. Automatics sometimes do not shift at cold start properly (from park, to backing up and then going forward), and more often, harsh upshifts or downshifts (when coming to a stop or accelerating after braking to a stop). Both problems are corrected by re-programming the EGS module.
