what exactly is straight pipes? i get what it kinda is but it makes your exhaust sound louder? or what?

Yeah, I have the same Dinan v2 exhaust on my M3 and I love it, but I’ve always wanted a little more rawness/rasp out of it. I’d thought of going straight pipes, but that’d just be too much, IMO.

I work at a shop anyways, so it wouldn’t cost me anything but a little bit of piping to weld in place.

Resonators ‘dull’ down the sound of your exhaust. Taking them out simply makes your exhaust louder w/ different tones.

Correct. any muffler shop can do this for under a hundred bucks

Sounds great. Did you just cut out the resonators and weld straight piping in their place?
