Good race. I think the M3 is as quick as the 2000, the 2000 driver was better at lines, The M3 started to get better towards the end. Nice vid.

Some people are retards. Just to clear some things up.

S52US = 3.2L US engine =240 hp more TQ more restrictive mani)
S50US=3.0L US=240hp(less TQ)

S50B32=euro=321bhp
S50B30=euro=286 bhp

S54=E46 M3=333hp (US)

In the video, that is a US 4 door model which means it could only have been a 97 or 98 which means it is OBII which means it has the 3.2L engine.

the m3 doesnt have more power… the m3 has 240 hp if its an american m3 and weights more than the s2000 but theyre about even me and my friend race those cars alot

tail lights on the e36 were amber corners, meaning it’s a US m3, meaning it’s 240hp not 321, equivalent to the US s2k pretty much, there is no real horsepower advantage here for the m3

I didn’t know they made people as dumb as you. Wow a brand new car keeping up with one that’s how old?
Oh yea, 2.2L and ALOT less weight, vs. a stock 350Z?
I swear everytime you kids see a video where a seasoned track driver tails something thought of as nice that’s being driven by an amateur you get a huge stiffy for your favorite car/company.
There’s nothing telling you how stock either of these cars are.

yeah, sorry about the sequential comment, just realised he is moving the lever in a H pattern. I assumed it was sequential due to the fast shifting (didn’t look closely) and if it were sequential it would indicate a racing “dog box” (square toothed gears). Bombed is slang in australia for a race motor that has been heavily moddified, big cams, crank moddification, ect, ect.

i feel soo sorry for the 350z because that car has way more HP and torque than the s2k and it still managed to be extremely close to the Z. Good job honda! 2.2 L

is m3 standard? He is doing pretty well against what looks like a pretty heavily modified s2000, sequential box and what sounds like a bombed motor.
